We offer three delivery methods for UK orders, plus international shipping for customers in Europe and the Middle East. All orders are dispatched from our Newcastle warehouse by trusted couriers and logistics partners to ensure order arrive quickly.

Shipping, Delivery & Returns

Local Delivery — Free Over £99

We offer a free local delivery service to businesses across Newcastle and the surrounding North East region. Orders under £99 qualify for a low-cost local delivery rate calculated at checkout.

Local delivery is handled by our own Westbids drivers, dispatched directly from our Newcastle warehouse. Orders are delivered within 1–3 working days. This service is an economy option — timed tracking is not available, but you will be contacted by our team to confirm your delivery window.

Our local delivery zone covers:

Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough, South Shields, North Shields, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay, Blyth, Cramlington, Hexham, Chester-le-Street, Washington, Consett, Stanley, Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees, Billingham, Peterlee, Seaham, Houghton-le-Spring and surrounding areas.

Standard Next-Day Delivery

Available to all UK trade customers. Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day for next-day delivery. Orders placed after 1pm, or on weekends and bank holidays, are dispatched the next working day.

Delivery is handled by a third-party courier. Tracking information will be sent to your email and/or mobile number provided at checkout once your order has been dispatched. Delivery is made to the address provided at checkout — please ensure someone is available to receive the order.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight and size of your order.

Pallet Delivery

Available for large volume orders that exceed standard parcel limits. Pallet delivery is handled by a third-party pallet network courier and is a 1–2 day service. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and location.

Please ensure your delivery address is accessible by a large goods vehicle. The courier is obligated to deliver to kerbside only and is not required to unload or move the pallet on your behalf. We recommend having a sack barrow or flatbed trolley available on site. You will be responsible for safe disposal of the pallet after delivery.

Tracking information will be sent via email and text once your order has been dispatched.

International Delivery — Europe & Middle East

We supply trade customers across Europe and the Middle East. International shipping rates and lead times are calculated based on destination and order volume. Contact our trade team before placing an international order to confirm shipping costs and arrange delivery.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. There is no minimum order quantity — you pay for what you order and the corresponding shipping cost. We review our shipping rates regularly to keep costs as competitive as possible.

European & International Deliveries

A wide range of shipping options available to Europe and worldwide. Complete order online, sales advisor will confirm shipping options and charges. Note: Brexit changed customs procedures for UK to Europe shipments. Westbids are not liable for local custom charges, taxes, duties (check with local agent before ordering).

What Is A Working Day

Working days are Monday - Friday (excluding any bank holidays or national holidays). Any orders placed outside of working day, will be processed on the following working day.

Shipping Delays

We understand delays are frustrating. Common reasons for delays include:

  • An item has gone out of stock at the time of processing
  • The courier has experienced a delay in transit
  • The courier was unable to access or locate your delivery address
  • No one was available to receive the delivery

We will contact you by email or phone as soon as we become aware of any issue with your order. Please ensure your contact details are correct at checkout and that you check your emails in the days leading up to your delivery.

Westbids takes full responsibility for any delay caused by a stock issue on our end and will offer a suitable alternative or refund. For delays caused by third-party couriers, we will assist you in chasing the delivery but cannot be held liable for courier-side delays. If you have any concerns about your delivery, contact our team directly and we'll act on it the same day.

Returns Policy

We want every order to arrive in perfect condition. If something isn't right, we'll put it right. The following are eligible for a return or refund:

  • Damaged goods — items that arrive damaged in transit, where the damage affects the contents and not just the outer packaging. Photo evidence is required.
  • Incorrect items — if you receive the wrong product, we'll arrange a return and send the correct item at no cost to you. Photo evidence is required.
  • Short-dated stock — items delivered with less than 4 weeks remaining on the best before date that have not been disclosed at point of sale. Photo evidence is required.

Returns must be reported within 7 days of receiving your order. Approved returns will be collected free of charge.

We do not accept returns for items ordered incorrectly or where you have changed your mind on a product. Any other return reason will be assessed by our team on a case-by-case basis.

How to Request a Return

Contact our team by email as soon as you become aware of an issue. Include your order number, a description of the problem and clear photo evidence. We aim to respond within 24 hours. If your return is approved, we will arrange collection and confirm next steps by email or phone.

Preparing Your Return

Once your return is approved, repack the items securely in the original packaging where possible. Remove or cover any existing shipping labels. We will arrange a courier collection and provide a new label. Please ensure someone is available at the agreed collection time — missed collections may incur a fee. We recommend photographing the parcel before collection in case of any transit damage on its way back to us.

Refunds

Refunds are processed once returned goods have been received and inspected at our warehouse. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically clear within 2–3 working days depending on your bank. Refund requests will not be accepted more than 14 days after your order was received.
